"This was the best vacation ever just getting back to the basics. The staff made you feel like part of the family, the weather was perfect and the food to die for. Riding the horses every day taking a different trail up thru the beautiful pines was unbelievable. Perfect family vacation. This was my 80th birthday present to me and it was Perfect. Many memories were made plus new friends.-"

"If you feel the need to get away from the pressures and pace of this hectic life we live, and return to a simpler
time, then this is the place! It's off the beaten path, high in the White Mountains, a place where children can
play in safety at the creek and feed the critters, and there are plenty, from kittens and puppies, to goats and pigs
and sometimes rabbits! Wonderful guided horseback rides twice daily on real working ranch horses (not stable
nags), great for beginners and experts alike. Hayrides, bonfires, mountain biking, hiking, fishing nearby at both
the Black River and Big Lake, rock hounding, or just kicking back and relaxing, there are plenty of things to do.
The cabins are rustic (don't expect 5 star, but do expect clean, simply furnished cabins with comfy beds with
handmade quilts), and a wood burning stove in each one for those brisk mountain nights. The food is ample and
delicious, and served family style in the Lodge dining room, cooked and served by the Ranch Kitchen Crew.
Family owned and operated, come be a part of the legacy that is Sprucedale!-"
