Fall Women's Only Week
The Fall Women’s Only Ranch Retreat at Sprucedale Ranch is a unique experience shaped by horsemanship, connection, and the shared energy that develops when women come together with a common purpose. Set during the quieter fall season, this all-inclusive week offers space to ride, learn, and recharge in an authentic Arizona guest ranch environment, without the pace or structure of the summer family weeks. It’s only open to a maximum of 20 women.
Connection & Purpose Among Women
Move beyond horsemanship and recharge in small groups
With a group made up entirely of women, rides naturally take on a supportive, focused dynamic where confidence grows through encouragement, shared learning, and time spent navigating the land together. Whether refining skills, building comfort at faster gaits, or simply enjoying long, uninterrupted rides, guests are able to engage with horsemanship in a way that feels personal and empowering.
Get Away From Distractions
Days unfold at a thoughtful pace that balances riding with the broader rhythm of ranch life. As always, you’re invited to participate in daily ranch activities, learn from experienced staff, and spend meaningful time with the horses beyond scheduled rides. Evenings are relaxed and social, often spent sharing meals, stories, and laughter after full days outdoors.
Without the distractions of busy schedules or constant demands, conversations come easily, and connections form quickly. Many guests find this week offers not only physical challenge and skill development, but also a chance to reset mentally and emotionally through time spent outdoors and away from everyday routines.

*Porch parties are a great way to get to know everyone. If you would like to sign up to host one at your cabin, please let us know. A “normal” porch party is just a few snacks and drinks.”*

Frequently Asked Questions
Is liquor and/or soda served or sold at the ranch?
No. You are more than welcome to bring your own.
Is ice provided?
No. We run on a generator and therefore do not have an ice machine. Gusts bring an ice chest full of ice and beverages.
Do I have to go on every horseback ride?
No. You can ride as much as you would like.
How many guests should I expect?
We cap this experience at a maximum of 20 women.
What will the weather be like in October?
Beautiful! 80 degrees during the day and 30 degrees at night. Might get some rain.

Personalized Service & Breathtaking Rides
What a great experience! This was my second fall specialty week at Sprucedale as in the fall they offer special riding geared toward adults…I did the cattle roundup 2 years ago & this year, the Women Only week. The riding is so breathtaking and varies from wide open meadows to undulating pine covered mountains and canyons to meandering rivers. The hospitality is outstanding, the home made meals delicious & varied options of riding based on your experience were top notch. The group ranged from beginning to very advanced riders & EVERYONE was catered to & enjoyed each ride. Very personalized service. I have been to 4 Arizona dude ranches and this is by far, my favorite. The riding, scenery, rustic ambiance & wonderful staff made for a memorable stay! I will be back again next year.
