"My sons went to Sprucedale for a week in July and it took the rest of the summer to convince them to keep living with me and not run off to be cowboys for life. My 10 year old still talks about his “best vacation ever” and wears his Sprucedale hat with pride everywhere. Experience of a lifetime!-"

TripAdvisor Review

"We came from England to stay here wanting to experience some Western riding as a family (2 girls age 12 and 10 and we all ride). We had an amazing time during our half week stay, the riding is incredible and surpassed our expectations. As the summer was nearly over we were the only ones there unusually, and were very well looked after. The horses were well behaved, very responsive and so sure footed, it was incredible to see them picking their way through stones and boulders up and down hills. We enjoyed cantering (loping) across meadows and through woods, playing games on horseback during the ride, delicious home cooked American food, milking the cow, feeding the foal, playing with kittens, roping, line dancing, campfire…the kids were planning their next trip within hours of leaving. The staff become like friends and you miss being there when you leave. Thanks to all. What a beautiful place it is. Just wish we were there now…"

"Heaven on earth. There is no prettier place to ride horses and unwind. We found this gem 4 years ago, and have come every year since. Come here once, and you will know why we will forever return to this ranch. My group comes from CO, CA and NJ to all meet up here. We could go anywhere, but other places are just not the same. Great horses, beautiful landscape, amazing riding, and wonderful people. I can’t stay enough good things."
