Anyone who has ridden horses at Sprucedale has glimpsed Whitney Wiltbank’s addiction for creating adventurous trails, but none of these come close to the wonder of Whitney’s Epic Ride.
Beginning at the base of the Superstition Mountains east of Phoenix, this new, high-adventure trail traverses the saguaro dessert, crosses rivers, skirts lakes, meanders through meadows and forests, climbs mountains, and eventually arrives at Sprucedale Guest Ranch 200+ miles later.
This 12-day, once-in-a-lifetime experience is not only rich with Arizona history, it’s a chance to soak in a vast swath of wild Arizona country that few people have seen. Most nights are spent camping out, enjoying hearty meals around a fire, and swapping stories before falling into bedrolls.
Riders who complete the full epic ride will receive:
- Brag’n rights
- A belt and buckle
- And a story to tell for the rest of their life!
Please note, that this ride requires stamina, strength, and a love for the trail. It is NOT an experience the casual or beginning rider will enjoy or complete. Casual riders need not to apply.
